• Indian legal framework: IT Act, 2000 and Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
• Key legal challenges: Extraterritorial jurisdiction, data localisation, cross-border data transfers

Module 3: Cybercrimes & Intermediary Liability

• Digital forensics: Chain of custody and admissibility of electronic evidence under Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023
• Cybercrime laws: CFAA (USA) and international standards including the Budapest Convention
• Intermediary liability under Indian law: Safe harbour, takedown mechanisms, Section 79 of IT Act

Module 4: Technology Law, FinTech & Web3

• Evolution of technology laws in India: IT Act, Rules, and regulatory framework
• Jurisdictional issues in the digital ecosystem
• FinTech regulation: P2P lending, InsurTech, role of RBI and SEBI
• Blockchain & cryptocurrencies: Legal status of crypto assets and VDAs in India
• Emerging risks: Algorithmic bias and ethical concerns in AI systems

Module 5: Technology Contracts, IP & Cyber Liability

• Drafting and negotiation of Software Licensing, SaaS Agreements, SLAs
• Key clauses: Indemnity, warranties, limitation of liability
• Validity of e-contracts and digital signatures
• IP protection for software, algorithms, and databases
• Cyber liability standards and cyber insurance

Module 6: Careers & Opportunities in Cybersecurity & Technology Law

• Key roles: Data Protection Officer (DPO), Legal Counsel (Tech/FinTech/AI), CISO (legal interface)
• Certifications for profile building: CIPP/E, CIPP/A, CIPT, CISSP, CISM, CRISC

Module 7: Role of AI in Law
